About Me

My career in massage began in Killeen Texas in 2010, where I received 500 hours of education and hands-on instruction in a variety of modalities, focused mainly on Swedish Massage. I also received a quality education in anatomy, physiology, pathology, hygiene, and ethics. I then became licensed with the state of Texas as a massage therapist and began performing massage on a contract basis. Because of my proximity to Ft. Hood, my clientele base during this time was largely military and I gained a great deal of experience with clients who suffered from chronic pain, especially in the upper back and neck.

In 2014, I elected to receive additional training in the state of Nevada, where I received another 720 hours of education and hands-on instruction. I received valuable training in several new modalities such as acupressure, reflexology, and aromatherapy while increasing my knowledge in previous areas of study. After graduating, I exceeded the requirements needed to transition from National Certification for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) to Board Certification for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (BCTMB), thus achieving the highest available credential in my field. For me, Board Certification demonstrated my commitment to my clients and my career and I was thrilled to be accepted.

I opened up Silver State Deep Tissue & Therapeutic Massage in early 2020 and recently celebrated 10 years of being a practitioner of massage. I now specialize in deep tissue, as well as therapeutic massage techniques. I frequently work with physical conditions such as arthritis, limited range of motion in both hips and shoulders, scoliosis, fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel syndrome, and physical disabilities, etc.

In addition to physical conditions, I also have several clients who use massage to alleviate symptoms of stress and anxiety and to promote general wellness. Massage has many wonderful applications for both physical and mental wellness and can be used to help with function and pain in many ways.

FAQs

Is Silver State Deep Tissue and Therapeutic Massage near me?  I am currently working with Body In Knead, conveniently located in downtown Sparks in the Sparks Business Center.  We share the entrance with the Sparks Courthouse but you turn right away from the courthouse and our office is located on your left before you reach the end of the building!

What do I do when I get there?  After you park you approach the door you will just walk in!  If the front desk has left, knock and wait please.  Someone will respond as soon as they can!  We appreciate your patience.

What kinds of techniques do you use? I use a variety of massage techniques such as swedish, sports, trigger point, stretching and myofascial to create a feeling of relaxation and assist with pain relief.

What level of dress is expected on the table? Your comfort level is my highest priority, and you should undress to your comfort level. I use a very conservative draping style so that you never have to wonder if you are accidentally being exposed. Some clients choose to undress completely, some leave on their underwear and some choose to remain fully clothed. Choose what's right for you!
